Services for Lewis Fielder, 79, of Whitesboro were held Wednesday, August 8 at the First United Methodist Church.  He died Sunday, August 5, 1990.  Rev. Doyle Henderson conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Glyn Rives.  Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.
Mr. Fielder was born July 21, 1911 in Whitesboro, son of Hodge Fielder and Bessie Gertrude Williams.  He married Audrey Turner on January 5, 1944 in Sherman.
He was a fence installation contractor.  He served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the Betelgeuse, where he received injuries in the Battle of Guadacanal.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Whitesboro.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Ronnie Fielder of Whitesboro; and Rickie Fielder of Austin; daughter, Linda Partridge of Sherman; brother, J.T. Fielder of Gainesville; two sisters, Lois Penacho of San Diego, California and Marie Turner of Whitesboro; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.



Whitesboro - Funeral services for Audrey Irene Fielder, 83, were held Sunday, June 22, 2008 at First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro with Rev. Jack Wallace and Rev. Glyn Rives officiating.  Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.  Mrs. Fielder passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Homestead in Sherman.
Audrey was born July 13, 1924 in Whitesboro, daughter of Francis M. and Abby Lucious Turner.  She married Lewis Fielder January 5, 1944.
Survivors includes sons, Ronnie Fielder and wife, Susan, of Whitesboro, and Rickie Fielder of Austin; daughter Linda Partridge and husband, James, of Sherman; grandchildren Bridgette Nagel and husband, Mark, of Sherman; Sandra Barks and husband, Donny, of Sherman; Melanie Fielder Garner of Lewisville and Joseph Fielder of McKinney; great-grandchildren, Dustin Hensley and wife, Krystal, of Sherman; Mathew Nagel of Sherman and Dillon Fielder of Whitesboro; brother, J.L. Turner of Whitesboro; sisters, Hazel Blount of Gainesville, Jean Sines of Keizer, Oregon; Goldie Lee of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Janie Tamplin of El Cajon, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Buster Turner; sister, Daisy Clounce; brother, Gyden Turner; brother, Elmer Turner; and sisters, Pearl Williams and Carrie Mann.
