Whitesboro - Earl Ralph Dobson, 76, passed away November 14, 2011 at the Clyde W. Cosper Veteran's Home in Bonham.  He was born November 18, 1934, the only child of Carl and Elsie Dobson, who preceded him in death.
Services were held Thursday, November 17, 2011 with Mike Bentley officiating and Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro in charge of arrangements.  Internment followed in Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.
Earl was a member of the Union Street Church of Christ, Whitesboro.  After graduation from Newton High School in Newton, Kansas, he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Air Force from June 24, 1954 until he was honorably discharged on June 21, 1962.  He served as Deputy Sheriff in Tulsa, Oklahoma before beginning his career in the oil and gas industry in Texas and Oklahoma.  He retired as a bus driver from Whitesboro ISD.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Dobson, of Whitsboro; sons, Dwight Dobson and wife, Maureen, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Steve Dobson and wife, Nicki, of Wylie, Texas; daughters: Beverly Humphrey and husband, William, of Van Vleck, Texas; Gloria McCloud and husband, Jeff, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-son, Damon Schooner and wife, Tammy, of Denver, Colorado.  He is survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dwight Dobston, Steve Dobson, Christopher Dobson, Trey Dobson, Jeff McCloud and Anthony McCloud.
