Worth - Funeral services for Stella B. Sweeney, 85, were held Monday
morning, August 15, 2011 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro
with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Interment followed the
service at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.
She passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011 in Bedford, Texas. Stella B. Sweeney was born February 18, 1926, daughter of Ed T. and Nora Jane Moore Brown in Whitesboro. She married Tommy Sweeney. She worked for the Hurst Euless Bedford School District and retired after 40 years of service. She is survived by her son, George Wayland Moreland of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandson, Tyrel Wayland Moreland of Trinidad, Colorado; great-grandson, Tyrel Nathaniel Moreland; 2 brothers, G.W. Brown of Tom Bean, Texas and Silas Brown of Corsicana, Texas; and Darrell Sweeney, Dale Sweeney and Cheryl Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Elsie Brown; and 3 brothers, Frank Brown, Edward Brown, and Paul Luther Brown.
