Jerry C. Strong, 84, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007 at his home in Arlington. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Steve Darden and Cindy Kennedy officiating. Pallbearers were Hollis Gary Brunner, Hollis Lackey, Bill Canales, Joe Settlemires, Thomas Van Hoose and Chris Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers were Kyle McCoy, Glenn Moore, and Miles Capehart. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery at Whitesboro.
Jerry was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on June 30, 1923, son of Malry and Nobel Lewis Strong. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 - 1945. Jerry married Shirley Gaile Suddath on April 20, 1963 in Whitesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of Arlington; son, Clint Strong of Arlington; daughter, Suzette Strong of Whitesboro; grandson, C.J. Strong; and several nieces and nephews.
