Ellis B. Stofle, longtime resident of Tioga, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2011.  
He was born August 23, 1926, son of Sammie Dee and Lena Roper Stofle in Rosston, Cooke County, Texas.  Ellis served in World War II on the islands of Manilla and Leyte in the Phillipines and with the occupation forces in Tokyo, Japan, under Gen. Douglas McArthur and Brig. Gen. C.A. Willoughby.  He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1946.
Ellis was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his family, which includes his wife of 67 years, Almalet Jo Stofle of Tioga; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Bill Manning of Paris; daughter, Karen Langford of Tioga; sister, Dorothea Easterling of North Richland Hills; sister, Norma Jensen of Twin Falls, Idaho; aunt, Connie Kinney; grandchildren, Reece Cheeson, Jason Manning, Justin Manning, Sydne Dickenson, and Chuck Langford; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
A private memorial was held at a later date.

Almaleta Jo Berry Stofle, 85, of Paris, formerly of Tioga, passed away September 21, 2013.  A memorial service was held at a later date.
Jo was born on March 20, 1929 in Wayne, Oklahoma to Wade and Lane Roper Berry.  She married Ellis Stofle on February 14, 1944.  From this union, they had 2 daughters, Phyllis Joan Stofle Manning of Paris and Elizabeth Karen Stofle Armstrong Langford of Tioga, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded her husband; her parents; her sisters, Lorraine McCall and Gladys Marcum.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan and husband, Billy Manning; brother, Dewayne Berry and wife, Evelyn; grandchildren, Sydne Murphy and husband, Billy; Charles Langford and wife, Annette; Reece Cheeson and husband, Frankie; Jason Manning and Justin Manning; along with 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Karen Stofle Langford, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
Graveside services were hled Saturday morning, March 19, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.
Karen was born June 23, 1947 to Ellis and Almaleta Jo Berry Stofle in Modesta, California.  Karen retired from Verizon Telephone in 2004, after being diagnosed with cancer of the liver.  Although, she was given less than 2 months to live, Karen's faith in God gave her the strength to fir for 8 and a half years.  In those 8 and a half years, she did what she loved most, ministering to others, traveling and being a devoted daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and sweet friend.  No one loved life and all that it had to offer more than Karen.  We praise God for her life and thank Him for the privilege of having her in our lives.  Karen was an inspiration.
Karen was preceded in death by her dad, Ellis Stofle.
Survivors include her mother, Almaleta Jo Stofle; sister, Joan Manning and husband, Bill; daughter, Sydne Dickenson; son Charles Langford and wife, Annette; 3 granddaughters, Alex Kern and husband, Tyler; and Jordan and Hannah Langford; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
