Services for Louis H."Pinky" Cox, 78, were held at First United Methocist Church in Olney with Rev. John Beckling, pastor, and Herb Marlow of Graham officiating.
Cox was raised on a farm near Gainesville, graduated from Gainesville High School and attended Gainesville Junior College.  He moved to Wichita Falls area in 1939.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, 96th Division of the Field Artillery including three and a half years in the South Pacific.
He and Louise Patton were married August 7, 1950 at Ft. Worth, Texas.  The couple moved to Olney from Holliday in 1954.
He was a District Guager for Continental Pipeline for 35 years and then retired.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a Conoco Retiree Group in Wichita Falls.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Richard Cox of Kingswood; two daughters, Beckie Dodson of Wichita Falls and Cindy Bishop of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Christina Garneau of Arlington, Virginia; and 8 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.
