Rev. Roy Spore officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro under the direction of Huff Funeral Home. Charles died Friday, August 13, 2004 in Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Sherman. He was born July 1, 1983 in Sherman, son of Chuck Cox and Susan Baum Cox. He was affiliated with First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro and was a waiter at Chiles Restaurant. Survivors are his parents of Whitesboro; grandparents, Charles and Waunema Baum of Whitesboro and Mary Perkins of Whitesboro; 3 brothers, John Cox and wife, Angela, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Mike Cox and wife, Adrian, Carpenteria, California; and Casey Zhoril of Deanville, Texas; 2 sisters, Christi Strange and husband, Jason, of Whitesboro and Leah Johnson of Corinth; 2 nephews, Noah and Cade Strange; and 3 nieces, Ruby Marie Cox, Chloe Cox, and Emily Cox. Pallbearers were Chad Watson, Brandon Watson, Derek Ethridge, Jason Strange, Kevin Garvin, Derek Cox, Phil Harris and John Dickson. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the WIlson N. Jones Hospital Foundation.
