J.R. SHAW DEAD
Mr. J.R. Shaw, one of the old time citiznes of the Whitesboro community, died at the house of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Tamplin, west of town at 12 o'clock Monday.
Mr. Shaw was born in Horse Cave, Kentucky, 73 years ago and moved to Grayson Co. 28 years ago and has lived in and near this place since, and up to the last several years was one of this sections most prosperous and progressive farmers.  He had been in failing health for some time but had only been confined to his bed a few days before his death.
He was the father of 10 children, 9 of whom survive him.  They are as follows: Mrs, Ed Tamplin, Whitesboro; Mrs. Alice Guthrie, Ragtown, Oklahoma; Miss Daisy Shaw and Miss Deedie Shaw, Whitesboro; Mrs. W.P. Walker and John Shaw, Durant, Oklahoma; R.C. Shaw, Parsons, Kansas; and Harry Shaw, Era, Texas, all of whom were here to attend the funeral, which was held at the cemetery following which the body was laid to rest.
