Whitesboro - Funeral services for Geraldine Franks Huffhines, 88, were held Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Elder Marlin Harp officiating, assisted by Darrell Johnson. Pallbearers were Garry Wiebe, Drew Johnson, Landon McKeehan, Zach McKeehan, Steve McKeehan, and Billy Johnson.  Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.
Geraldine passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Geraldine was born November 2, 1924 in Whitesboro to Samuel Enoch and Mary D. Lina McCormick Franks. She married Royce Huffhines, Jr. on September 15, 1942 in Whitesboro.
Geraldine was a member of the Holiness Church of Jesus Christ in Whitesboro.  She truly loved the Lord and was a true pastor's wife, encouraging her husband and standing by him and his ministry.  She loved to write poems and inspired and encouraged others with her writings.  Geraldine enjoyed music, gardening and cooking, making the best pecan pie.  She loved her family with all her heart.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Marsha Johnson and husband, Bill, of Burleson; son, Wendall Huffhines and wife, Sandra, of Whitesboro; sister, Imogene Turpen of Whitesboro; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Howard Franks.


Whitesboro - Funeral services for Rev. Royce Huffhines, Jr., 92, were held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesboro with Rev. Marlin Harp officiating, assisted by Bro. Jerry Billings.  Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.
Royce was born January 17, 1923 in Richardson, Texas, son of Royce, Sr. and Nora Lane Huffhines.  Rev. Huffhines passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Crowley, Texas.  He married Geraldine Franks on September 15, 1942 in Whitesboro.  He started preaching at the age of 21 and continued until he was 91.  He pastored in Whitesboro 1955-1959, evangelized in Ft. Worth and pastored in Oklahoma 1982-2000.  He lived most of his life in Whitesboro, raising Finch birds.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his son, Windell Huffhines and wife, Sandra, of Whitesboro; daughter, Marsha Johnson and husband, Billy, of Burleson; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Malva Aycock of Dallas and Parthenia Lemons of Gainesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sisters, Fredna Boswell and Quinta Baker; and brother, R.L. Huffhines. - - - Meador Funeral Home
