 Whitesboro  Gainesville - Funeral services for Glenda Darlene Roberts, 62, were held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Arthur Green officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Glenda passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Pecan Tree Manor in Gainesville. She was born October 2, 1949 in Sherman, daughter of John Leonard and Vera Elfa Stubblefield Phelps. She loved the Lord and her family. She had a truly sweet spirit and never met a stranger. She loved fishing and eating fish. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Gainesville. Survivors include son, Chris Roberts and wife, Melissa, of Whitesboro; three sisters, Rhonda Tyler of Gainesville; Vera Burdg and Betty Slayton, both of Enid, Oklahoma; four brothers, Orval Phelps of Gainesville; Virgil Phelps of Decatur; Billy Jack Phelps and Robert Phelps, both of Whitesboro; four grandchildren, Brandon Roberts, Brandi Roberts, Dustin Roberts and Aaron Roberts; and a great-grandchild, Addison Cargile.
