Dorothy R. Gaddie Pharr

H.W. Pharr was born to Ernest Lee and Connie Flournoy Pharr.  On October 6, 1949 he married Dorothy Ray Gaddie in Denton, Texas.
Mr. Pharr served in the US Navy from November 1943 through January 1946.  He received the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.  His service time included duty in Guam and the Phillipines.
He was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad as an agent, retiring in March 1987 after more than 38 years of service.  He was a member of the X-Rails, Woodmen of the World, and Broadway and Taylor Street Church of Christ.  H.W. always had a smile and kind words for everyone.
Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law; one granddaughter; two grandsons; two step-children; one great-granddaughter; and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Pharr, on September 15, 2003; and two brothers, Dick and Billy Pharr.
