Former Anchorage resident William M. Reager, 79, died January 16, 1999 at the Whitesboro Nursing Home in Whitesboro, Texas.  A funeral was held January 19 at Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro.  Rev. Johnny Funderburg officiated.  Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.  Pallbearers were Neal Dillman, Wayman Chilcutt, Brian Shadden, Jimmie Tom McDonnell, Bill Parish, and Darden Fletcher.
Mr. Reager was born September 1, 1919 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania.  He married Nellie Suddath on July 21, 1943 at Camp, west of Gainesville, Texas.  Mr. Reager was a school educator from 1946 to 1976.  He lived in Anchorage from 1969 - 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Bentley Suddath Reager, of Whitesboro; brother-in-law, Mark Bentley of Whitesboro; sisters-in-law, Mary Findley of Denison, Patricia Douglas of Flower Mound; and Blair Hysmith of Missouri City, Texas.
