 Whitesboro  Mary Hazel West 2 January 1909 - 28 August 2001 Charlie N. West 13 March 1908 - 15 April 1975 wed 5 February 1927 Whitesboro News Record April 21, 1975 pg. 10 Services were held for Charlie Newton West, 67, last Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Richards Chapel. He died Tuesday at a Sherman hospital from a sudden illness. Rev. Tom Peele and Rev. Glyn Rives conducted services. Burial was in the Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Richards Funeral Home. Mr. West was born on March 13, 1908 in Cooke County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Newton E. West. He married Hazel Byrns on February 5, 1927 in Whitesboro. Mr. West was a farmer and member of the Westview Methodist church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Landon West of Plainview and Dean West of Callisburg; three daughters, Jeanine Fanghtner of El Paso, Martha Brown and Kathy Clark, both of Whitesboro; 23 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ellis West and Bill West, both of Whitesboro; and one sister, Miss Aleta West of Whitesboro.
