 Whitesboro  Archie Ray Murphree 18 August 1937 - 31 May 2004 Deloris Ann Murphree 18 January 1930 - Gainesville Daily Register June 5, 2004 Services for Archie Ray Murphree, 66, of Whitesboro were held at the Huff Funeral Home of Whitesboro with Rev. Ernest Sigrest officiating. Pallbearers were Clay McAdoo, Tommy Daniel, Brad Scott, Tony Hardy, Gary Nix, and Jody Kost. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home. Mr. Murphree died May 31, 2004 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman after a long illness. He was born August 18, 1937 in Thackerville, Oklahoma to Albert and Nettie Hice Murphree. On August 6, 1988, he married Deloris Shaw in Gainesville. He owned and operated Archie's Auto Supply in Whitesboro for 23 years. Survivors include his wife; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Mandy Murphree of Sherman; and John Meadows of Arizona; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Richard Nabors of Amarillo; Belinda and Bruce Mueller of Mesquite; Gale Clark of Amarillo; and Sandy Meadows of Bloomfield, New Mexico; brother, J.W. "Dub" Murphree of Gainesville; sister, Barbara Shaw of Gainesville; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herman Murphree.
