- Sue Ellen Conte, 68, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday June 6, 2012
in Gordonville. Private family services were held at Oakwood
Cemetery in Whitesboro with cremations arrangements under the direction
of Waldo Funeral Home. She was born July 29, 1943 in Pampa, Texas to Wes and Bettye Sue Blackwell Vanlandingham. She graduated from Shreveport schools and worked as an underwriter in the mortgage business for several years. On April 27, 1965, Sue and Matthew Conte were married in Redlands, California. Mrs. Conte is survived by her husband of Gordonville; son Michael Conte and wife, Shelley, of Little Elm; daughter, Michelle Maurer and husband, Michael, of Prosper; three grandchildren, Logan Conte of Midland and Peyton and Ethan Maurer, both of Prosper; mother, Bettye Sue Clegg of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister, Sharon Dupuy and husband, Tom, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
