McCLendon 2 March 1911 - 22 June 1980 Roy Earl McClendon 18 November 1905 - 13 March 1962 Whitesboro News Record Funeral services for Mrs. Prudence Elizabeth McClendon, 69, of Whitesboro were held Tuesday, June 24 in the Huff Chapel, Whitesboro. She died Sunday, June 22 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. Rev. Ricky Hargraves of Sadler Baptist Church conducted the services. Burial was at Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home. Mrs. McClendon was born March 7, 1911 in Oklahoma, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. JIm Redrick. She married Roy McClendon October 2, 1927 in Grayson County. He preceded her in death. She worked in restaurants until her retirement and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sammie Jones and Mrs. Bill Stevens; a brother, H.F. Redick; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charlie Tamplin, Kenneth Rogers, Bobby Butler, Herman Gressett, Carl McClendon, and BIllie Jack Stinson.
