Easter L. Orr
14 December 1956 - 12 April 1985

Fay Orr was a very lively lady who enjoyed music and cooking.  Fay was born May 20, 1929; when Fay was 12 her parents enrolled her in formal piano lessons where she blossomed as a student and later began playing the piano for Whiterock Baptist Church and Edwards Chapel.  She continued to play for various churches throughout her life. She met Darrell Orr at the young age of 23 and soon after married in 1953.  They enjoyed 59 wonderful years together.  She was very much loved by her husband and the two of them enjoyed attending church functions and visiting with Darrell's relatives and friends.  She also enjoyed playing the piano with her son-in-law until she could no longer play.  When not playing the piano, she loved to make homemade pies.  Fay was an excellent pastry chef, lemon and chocolate pies were her speciality and often requested by others.  She enjoyed cooking for her family on the holidays and often at work. Fay and Darrell dedicated their life to caring for their son who wan in an accident in 1975 until they could not care for him anymore.  Fay always welcomed and was friendly to her grand kids and their friends.  In later years when she was no longer able to work, she enjoyed talking to old friends, caring for her son, walking, and visiting the senior citizen center.  She was affectionately known as "Gigi" by her great grand kids who often visited her in the nursing home.
Fay passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018.
