   Bettye Jean Walker was born on June 20, 1945, daughter of Roosevelt "Doc" Jackson and Pecola Sean Bryant in Whiterock, Texas. Bettye J. Walker received her formal education in the Whiterock public schools; she graduate from Frederick Douglas High School. She received her secondary education at Paris Junior College and was certified as a nurse's aide. Her humanitarian efforts were served as a cook at the S.N.A.P. center in Tom Bean, Texas. Bettye Walker accepted Christ at an early age. She was a lifelong member of Whiterock Missionary Baptist Church where she served as secretary, treasurer, on mission auxiliaries and other capacities as needed. She also served as the Whiterock Cemetery secretary and business administer. Bettye was united in marriage to Odell Walker, Sr. in 1969 and remained married 50 years until she was called to rest on June 13, 2020. The highlights of her life were her children, marriage, and most of all her love of God. Bettye Jean Walker, 74, left her earthly house and entered into her eternal home Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison following an extended illness. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of Whiterock, Texas; 3 sons, Derek Jackson of Whiterock, Texas; Darrel Walker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Odell Walker, Jr. of Whiterock, Texas. Grandchildren, Denzel Maxwell, Florentina Verduzco; Jeremiah Walker; Taision Walker; Tru Jackson; Levi Walker; a host of brothers; one sister; cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. The Homegoing Celebration for family and close friends was Saturday morning, her birthday, June 20, 2020 in the Whiterock Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Roger Jackson was the host pastor and Rev. K.W. King delivered the eulogy. Burial followed in Whiterock Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to James E.
