  SHERMAN - Lawrence T. Milligan, 96, of the Whiterock Community, died July 6, 1999, at the Whitewright Nursing Home. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, in Boyd Smith White Funeral Chapel in Sherman. Officiating was the Rev. T. E. Jagours, pastor of the St. James CME Church in McKinney. Burial was in the White Rock Cemetery. Surviving are his sons, Donald Milligan and Robert Milligan, both of the Whiterock Community; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Donald Ray Milligan 1954 - 2010  The Herald Democrat October 1, 2010 Donald Ray Milligan, 56, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Zale Hospital in Dallas. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2 at Dannel Funeral Home. Roger Jackson of White Rock Baptist Church in White Rock will officiate. Interment will follow in White Rock Cemetery. The family will be at Dannel Funeral Home on Friday, October 1, from 6-8 p.m. Ronald was born in Whitewright on January 27, 1954, to L. T. and Gladys (Moss) Milligan. He grew up in the White Rock Community and worked as a farmer. He graduated from the Tom Bean High School and completed a couple of years of college. On October 14, 1999, he married Sherri Lee Kirk in the Virgin Islands. To understand why everyone loved Donald, you need to know that he was generous to a fault, never asking for anything in return. Always working on something and helping someone, he never forgot anyone he met. Being very intelligent, Donald could master any task from carpentry to mechanics to other tasks of farming. One of his endearing habits was that when he went to a funeral, he would put a 50 cent piece in the casket, saying "They need traveling money." Donald was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Millie Milligan. He is survived by his wife, Sherri Lee Milligan of Sherman; four sons, Christopher Don Milligan of Whitewright, Shawn Ray Milligan and wife, Marisol, of Denison, Jack Kirk and wife, Christel, of Sherman, and Kristofer Kirk of New York, N.Y.; one daughter, Vanessa Kirk of Dallas; one brother, Robert Milligan of Sherman; four grandchildren: Austin Daniel Milligan, David Alexander Milligan, Natalie Marie Milligan, and Hannah Small; a niece Samantha Milligan and a nephew Andy Milligan; plus a host of friends.
