Funeral services for Jean Ellis were held at the Luella First Baptist Church Friday afternoon, January 14, 2022 with Rev. Bobby Hawkins and Rev. Jason Rolen officiating.  Burial followed at White Mound Cemetery with her grandsons, Geoffrey Cox, Garrett Cox, Preston Cox, Tyler Ellis, Samuel Ellis, and Tanner Ellis serving as pallbearers.  Mrs. Ellis passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.
Dorothy Jean Ellis was born October 26, 1942 in Dallas, daughter of Buster and Dorothy Deubler Caster.  She married A.J. Ellis on June 4, 1960.  Jean worked several years as the office manager at Ellis Tool and Machine and was a member of the Luella First Baptist Church.  In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she dearly loved.
Mrs. Ellis is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one brother, Paul Caster.
She is survived by 3 children:  Albert Ellis and wife, Karen; David Ellis and wife, Kristi; and Mimmie Cox and husband, Scott; sister, Linda Caster and husband, Mike Foreman; 10 grandchildren: Amy Hayes and husband, Casey, of Hewitt, Texas; Geoffrey Cox and wife, Lacci, of Tom Bean; Garrett Cox of McKinney; Preston Cox and wife, Morgan, of Tom Bean; Tyler Ellis of Ft. Worth; Sam Ellis and wife, Courtney, of Tom Bean; Tanner Ellis and wife, Randi, of Tom Bean; Emily Dickison and husband, David, of Oklahoma City; Allie Ellis of Tom Bean; Mary Cox of Tom Bean; and 5 great-grandchildren.
