FUNERAL FRIDAY
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in Waldo Funeral Chapel in Sherman for Mrs. Mary Howell, 80, of Glendale, Arizona, formerly of Tom Bean, who died at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Weed in Glendale.
Rev. Claude Cone, pastor of the First Baptist Church here officiated.  Burial was in the White Mound Cemetery.
The body arrived in Sherman Thursday morning and remained at the funeral home until service time.
Mrs. Howell lived in Tom Bean for many years before moving to Mangum, Oklahoma in 1924.  In 1929 she moved from Mangum to Glendale to live with her daughter.
She was born June 5, 1875 in Belton, South Carolina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kay.  In 1895 she married George D. Howell.  He died in 1915.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, W.H. Howell of Howe; two other daughters, Mrs. Ethel Holloway of Phoenix, Arizona; and Mrs. Tennie Fae Parker of Mangum, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
