  John B. Howard 7 June 1932 Laura B. Howard 31 October 1956 The Whitewright Sun Friday, June 9, 1932 pg. 5 Mr. and Mrs. L.O. Lackey and sons, Jack and James, and Mr. and Mrs. Wade Sears and children attended the funeral of J.B. Howard at Howe Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Howard, who was 67 years old, died suddenly at Howe Tuesday morning. The funeral was held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, and interment was in Whitemound Cemetery west of Tom Bean. Mr. Howard's wife, who survives him, was the former Miss Laura Belle Lackey, sister of L.O. Lackey of this city. He is also survived by a his son, Don Howard of Sherman, and a brother and two sisters.  Joe Howard 9 September 1887 - 23 January 1914 s/o J.B. & Laura Howard The Whitewright Sun Friday, January 30, 1914 pg. 1 News was received here Saturday of the death of Joe Howard, which occurred at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rat Howard, near Howe, last Friday night. Young Howard was a grandson of Mrs. Dave Martindale of this city and a nephew of Ott Lackey. He had been in bad health for several years and had made numerous trips to Southwest Texas and California with the hope of restoration.
