Hicks 20 December 1906 - 30 September 2001 Lorene Hicks 20 November 1916 - 1 August 2010 wed 4 November 1933 The Herald Democrat August 3, 2010 Tom Bean - Funeral services for Lorene Hicks will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, at the First Baptist Church of Tom Bean, with Pastor John Hall officiating. Burial will follow at White Mound Cemetery. Family visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Tom Bean. Lorene was born Nov. 20, 1916 in Bennington, Okla. to C.W. and Hattie Norman. She married Arlie Hicks on Nov. 4, 1933 and they were married for 67 years. She worked 10 years in the Tom Bean school cafeteria. She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Tom Bean. She passed from this life on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn of Tom Bean; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and five brothers.
