Retired Farmer Dies
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel for Marion P. Ham, 77, a retired farmer who died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday in a Paris hospital. He had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Scottie Miller in Direct. Officiating ministers will be Rev. Hershell Stevens, pastor of the Paris Pentecostal Church and Rev. Don Howland, pastor of the Tom Bean Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Whitemound Cemetery.
Mr. Ham was born August 1, 1886 in Tennessee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Ham and was married to Miss Mattie Driskill. She died in 1920 and he later married Ruth Burfield.
Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Miller are two other daughters, Mrs. Hershell Flowers of Sherman and Mrs. Cecil Shaw of Sherman, Route 4; a son, Joe Ham of Sherman; two brothers, Charlie Ham of Tom Bean and Lonnie Ham of Pampa; a sister, Mrs. Ed Estes of Sherman;
15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
