Services for Dola Rea Ham, 74, of Sherman will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 at Dannel Funeral Home. Dr. Eddy Johnson of Grayson Bible Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at White Mound Cemetery.
She passed away on Monday, Jan. 12, 2009 at the Brentwood Place in Denison.
Dola was born on November 2, 1934 in Sherman, the daughter of Walter O. Smith and Evelyn Myrtle Vest Smith.
On June 2, 1951 she married Billy Joe Ham in Sherman. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1986.
She was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ham was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Evelyn Smith; her husband Billy Joe Ham; and her sisters Joyce Kane, Jackie White and Molly Kincella.
She is survived by her daughters Rhonda and Jerry Rawlins of Sherman, Joy and Donnie Moody of Sherman, Terrie and Johnny Hendrix of Denison; her sons Billy and Mary Ham of Denison, Stewart and Annette Ham of Sulphur Springs, Spurgeon Ham of Sherman; grandchildren Scottie Moody of Denison, Starla Hock of Little Elm, Shelly Moody of Euless, Kimberly Matlack of Galien, Mich., Steven Rawlins of Sherman, Mandy Clark of Honey Grove, Danielle Ham of Denison, Kelsey Holmes of Sherman, Aaron LaBlanc of Livingston, Jarrod Ham of Stafford, Amy Bain of Arlington, Cody Bain of Sulphur Springs; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Ham will be Steven Rawlins, Jarrod Ham, Aaron LaBlanc, Lance Key, Cody Bain, Scottie Moody; honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Hock, Kelvin Clark, Altis Ham, Loy Goldston, J. W. Ham and Bobby Ham.
The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15 at Dannel Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice and give a special thanks to Becky for her friendship and care that she gave to our mother, and Brentwood Nursing Home for the care given to Dola Rea.
