J. R. Aston 24 January 1816 - 11 October 1891 J. R.'s first wife, Mary Elizabeth Stratton Aston, died in 1859. She is buried in the Kentuckytown Cemetery.

Mrs. Kate Aston 24 May 1834 - 22 January 1889 Dallas Morning News February 4 1889 Newspaper published in: Dallas, TX Page/Column: 5/2 Bells, Tex., Feb. 3, -- Mrs. Kate Aston died Tuesday of cancer. The death of this kind and loving woman has cast a gloom over the entire neighborhood in which she lived. She was loving wife, a doting mother, a devout Christian and a woman who was loved and respected by all who knew her. She leaves a husband and several sons and daughters together with the whole vicinity to mourn her loss.
