Born in Early County, Georgia, on September 26, 1906, she was married to William Otis Turbeville, Sr. on September 28, 1925 in Hamilton, Alabama. She moved to Mississippi in 1927 and lived in Washington and Bolivar counties for fifty-five years where she was employed as a telephone operator.
