D. FORGY DIES AT HIS HOME HERE MONDAY
D. Forgy, aged 62, died at his home in east Whitewright Monday morning following a long illness.  He had lived in Grayson County for a number of years.  Nine years ago he moved from Howe to near Denison and lived there until he moved here last January.  He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. R.L. Sears, having married her sister.
Mr. Forgy had been in ill health for several months and his death was not unexpected.  He was not known to many people of this place, as he was confined to his home most of the time since moving here.
The funeral service was held at the City Cemetery Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, and was conducted by Rev. J.F. Fender, pastor of the Presbyterian Church.
The deceased is survived by his wife and a son, C.A. Forgy.  A number of relatives from Howe and Sherman attended the funeral service.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Forgy were held Sunday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. R.L. Sears, with Rev. E.P. Wootten, pastor of the Baptist Church and Dr. B. Wrenn Webb, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Forgy, who died at 8 a.m. Saturday at the home of Mrs. Sears, was born July 24, 1873 in Grayson County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert V. Aston.  She was the widow of M.D. Forgy, who died a number of years ago.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sister, Mrs. Sears; and several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL FOR WORLD WAR VETERAN HELD
Funeral services for Claude Forgy, who died Tuesday afternoon at the home of his mother, Mrs. Jennie Forgy, were held at the late residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. G.C. Ivins, pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducted the services.  He was assisted by Rev. J.F. Fender, Presbyterian minister.  Members of the Preston Everheart Post, American Legion, were pallbearers.
Mr. Forgy was born in Oklahoma February 26, 1894, and came to Texas with his parents when a small boy.  They resided near White Mound until they moved to Whitewright.  His father died several years ago.  Soon after the United States declared war against Germany, he enlisted and served his country in this conflict for nearly 18 months.  He spent some time in France.  At the close of the war he returned to Whitewright to make his home with his mother.  He had been in poor health for the past few years.  Several weeks ago he went to the Crosbyton section to pick cotton.  He became ill the first of last week and returned home on Wednesday preceding his death.
Mr. Forgy was a member of the Baptist Church and the Preston Everheart Post, American Legion.  He took an active part in work connected with the American Legion, and was loyal to his country.
He is survived by his mother, the only living member of the family.  He was a nephew of Mrs. R.L. Sears of Whitewright.
