Mrs. Elizabeth Aston, 79 years old, mother of Mrs. R.L. Sears, died at the latter's home on East Grand Avenue Wednesday night at eight o'clock, following an extended illness.
Besides Mrs. Sears, she is survived by another daughters, Mrs. M.D. Forgy, of this city, and by two brothers, Jas. T. McCoy of Howe and Price McCoy, who resides in West Texas.  There are also a large  number of surviving grandchildren of the deceased woman, who had been a resident of Grayson County for nearly seventy years.
Immigrants from Missouri, Mrs. Aston's parents settled in the Jameson-Howe vicinity, but since the death of her husband some thirty years ago she has made her home with Dr. and Mrs. Sears.  In this quiet home life niche she has laid to her credit a notable work of devotion to an ideal philosophy of life and to tasks that came to her hands.
Funeral services were held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Sears at two o'clock Thursday afternoon, with Rev. J.H. Hankins, pastor of the local Baptist church, and Rev. J.F. Fender, retired Presbyterian minister, conducting the obsequies.
Interment was at the City Cemetery.
