Friday, April 14, 1972 pg. 8 Whitewright - James W. Davis, 73. died at 4:15 a.m. Friday, April 14, 1972, in a Sherman hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Earnheart Funeral Chapel chapel. Burial will be in the Whitewright City Cemetery. A retired construction worker, Mr. Davis was born July 1, 1898. He married Miss Ruby Taylor at Honey Grove April 19, 1928. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors are his wife of the home; one daughters, Mrs. Alice Benniger of Bedford; one brother, Simon Davis of Bonham; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Burk and Mrs. Cynthia Hughes, both of Boswell, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
