May 16, 2011 WHITEWRIGHT - Betty Clancy passed away May 14, 2011 at Medical Center of Plano. Betty was born February 20, 1932 in Whitewright, the daughter of L.A. and Lillis Clancy Watkins. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Whitewright. Betty attended Whitewright Schools and was a homemaker. She married William Clancy, Jr. February 14, 1951 in Denison. Betty is survived by her son Charles J. Clancy of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughters Julia Deslatte and husband Mike of Plano and Leesa Kitchens and husband Doug of Lumberton; brother Frank Watkins of Denison; sister Dixie Mallard of Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Whitewright City Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Flynn will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Mullican-Little Funeral Home of Bells/Savoy. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
