Roscoe Vestal, 79, died Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Whitewright Nursing Home after a long illness.  Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday  in the Earnheart funeral chapel, conducted by Rev. C.C. Dooley of Whitewright and Rev. Dan Vestal of Fort Worth.  Burial was in Whitewright Cemetery.
Mrs. Vestal was born March 29, 1886, at Orangeville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Vestal.  On July 10, 1910, he married Miss Effie Mauk, who died in 1959.  Oct October 20, 1962, he married Mrs. Fay Wilson.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Paul Vestal of Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Deaton and Mrs. Harry Brown, both of Trenton, Mrs. Alton Bowen of Whitewright and Mrs. Walter McDaniel of Texhoma, Oklahoma.
Out-of-town relatives of the family attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilson of Richardson; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wilson of Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wilson of Sherman; Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Robinson of Dallas; Paul Vestal of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Walter McDaniel of Texhoma, Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. P.R. Stevens of Dallas; Mrs. Harry Brown and Mrs. Ed Deaton of Trenton; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Dillon of Durant, Oklahoma; Mrs. Bob Grant of Bonham.

MRS. ROSCOE VESTAL DIES OF HEART ATTACK
Funeral services for Mrs. Roscoe Vestal, 70, were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the First Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. John Roberson, pastor, and Rev. C.C. Dooley, Presbyterian minister.  Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, directed by Earnheart.  Active pallbearers were Guy Dillon of Durant, Oklahoma, R.A. Gillett, N.E.Skaggs, B.R.Vestal, Jack Thruston and George Deaton.
Mrs. Vestal was born November 15, 1888, near Whitewright, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Mauk.  On July 10, 1910, she and Mr. Vestal were married.  She was a graduate of Grayson College and a member of the Methodist Church.  She was an active member of the church's Women's Society of Christian Service, and had attended a meeting of that body shortly before she was stricken by a heart attack which took her life Monday night.
Surviving are her husband and a son, Paul M. Vestal of St. Joseph, Missouri.
