Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Church of Christ for Mrs. Mollie Ray, wife of the late D.A. Ray, who died at Shawnee, Oklahoma, Sunday at 11:12 p.m.  The services were conducted by Rev. C.C. Buchanan of Leonard.  Interment was in the City Cemetery, directed by Glen Earnheart.  Active pallbearers were Pascal Harper, R.A. Gillett, Alonzo Harper, E.O. Young, Will Mitchell and Guy Dillon of Durant, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Ray was born January 10, 1869 in Cassville, Missouri, daughter of John and Mary Harbert.  She was married to D.A. Ray in 1886 at Green Forest, Arkansas and came to Texas that year.  They moved to Whitewright in 1907.  Mrs. Ray had been making her home with her daughters for the past 3 years.
Surviving are a son, Raymond T. Ray of Morton, Texas; 2 daughters, Mrs. Bernice Neff and Mrs. Hazel Ferguson, both of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 2 grandsons, David Ray Neff of Washington, D.C. and Bobby Jack McKensie of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and one granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas Gillett of Dallas; a brother, Dallas Harbert of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 3 sisters, Mrs. A.J. Byers of Celeste, Texas; Mrs. W.F. Bell of Paris, Texas; and Mrs. A.C. Oxley of San Antonio, Texas;  and 3 grandchildren.
