BABY ON FRONT PORCH
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Moore Have a Foundling on Their Hands
A baby boy a few hours old was found on the front veranda of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Moore, No. 901 South Rusk avenue, Monday morning about 3 o'clock.  The infant was wrapped in a woolen shirt and silk shawl.  Beside it lay a nursing bottle and a bottle of milk, and a note saying, "This baby was born Sunday morning."
Mrs. Moore was up sometime after midnight waiting on her husband, who has been suffering from rheumatism for some time.  She happened to look out the window and noticed a buggy passing in front of the gate, apparently just leaving.  She thought nothing of this, however, and returned to her room.  She lay awake awhile and heard a child crying.  She went to the front veranda, where the little one lay.  The child weighs only three pounds, but it is apparently healthy.
Mr. and Mrs. Moore may adopt the child if its parents cannot be found of whom there is yet no clew.
