Bill was born in Sherman, Texas, December 29, 1943.  He attended Denison schools and graduated from Denison High School in 1963.  Following graduationg he went to work for Hale Trailers, then was employed by Johnson & Johnson for 39-1/2 years in production maintenance, retiring in 2006. He was a master craftsman and could create and repair anything he set his mind to do.  His co-workers were often the recipient of his practical jokes, earning him the nickname, "Snake."
He married Penny Garret in 1965 and 2 sons were born to them, Charles and Jimmy.  In 1986 he married Deena Downing and they were blessed with an adventure lasting 36 years.
Photography was his passion, working some as a professional photographer, but his greatest pleasure was taking pictures at his grandkids sporting events. He was well known for his pictures by family and friends.
Bill was involved in the Media Department of Trinity Lighthouse Church for 25 years and enjoyed his work there.
Bill like to travel and visit new places, taking pictures along the way.  Bill saw the world through the lens of his camera and one of his favorites was the trip to London.
He will be greatly missed, leaving behind a huge void in all our lives.  His goal in life was to be more patient and kind; our goal is to be more like him.
Funeral service for Mr. Steen was held Wednesday afternoon, September 7, 2022 at Trinity Lighthouse Church with Pastor Raymond England officiating. Private interment was held at Virginia Point Cemetery.
