Mae Mathis Price, 87, of the West Pines community, died Sunday,
September 18, 2005 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Chuckey, Greene
County, Tennessee. She was born about 1918 in Denison, Texas, daughter of W.F. and Alice Orr. She wed Mannes F. Price on June 22, 1960.
Survivors include 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Edith and Don Patrick of West Pines, with whom she made her home; and Beverly Blackwood of Bokelia, Florida; her grandchildren: Lee Patrick, Del Patrick, Bobby Patrick, Debbie Specht, Leah Teachout, Jody Simmons, Patricia Ridenour, Buddy Ridenour, Lezlea Mathis, Rebecca Mathis, Jeri Mathis, and Jessie Lynn Mathis; her great-grandchildren: Elijah Patrick, Isaac Patrick, Andy Patrick, Kasey Patrick, Erika deTrinidad, Derrick deTrinidad, Noah Patrick, Katie Nell Specht, Kayla Specht, Zachary Teachout, Emily Teachout, Valerie Teachout, Brandon Womack, Jason Simmons, Chelsea Simmons, Alyssa Ridenour, and several others; brother, Jerry Orr; and 2 sisters, Kaye Beggs and Sandy Boswell. She was preceded in death by 4 children: Barbara Ridenour, Bob Mathis, Eugene Mathis, and Jeanell Mathis. A private memorial was conducted by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to a local shelter for abused women of the donor's choice.
