VAN ALSTYNE - Mrs. Mary Hannah Clack, 69, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at her home in Van Alstyne and funeral services will be held at the Baptist church Friday, the time pending the arrival of a son in the armed services. The Rev. Frank Johnston, pastor will conduct services assisted by the Rev. Thomas Lennox. Interment will be in the Van Alstyne cemetery, directed by Fox-Fanning.
Pallbearers will be Harvey Martin, Alma Adams, Robert Fielder, Earl Whitaker, Cage Hunter and Johnnie Bob Ammonette.
Mrs. Clack was born Oct. 13, 1875 at Van Alstyne, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Mullenix, and was married Oct. 8, 1893. A member of the Baptist church, she was known in this community as Aunt Mollie.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C. C. Johnson of Sherman route 4, and Mrs. H. R. Williams of Denison; four sons, Roy Clack and Less Clack of Van Alstyne, Sgt. Delbert Clack in the armed services; John Henry Clack of Bakersfield, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Lou McMillan of Whitewright, Mrs. Leonard Swindell of Dallas; brothers, Amos Mullenix, also of Dallas, Art Mullenix and Oscar Mullenix of Van Alstyne.




Millard P. Clack
31 July 1897 - 9 July 1944

VAN ALSTYNE - Millard Philmore Clack, 46, died shortly after midnight Saturday after an illness of four years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Johnston and the Rev. W. H. Vail.
Interment was in Van Alstyne cemetery, directed by Fox-Fanning. Pallbearers were Alma Adams, R. L. Jay, Sam Shaw,  Earl Whitaker, Robert Fielder and Harvey Martin.
Mr. Clack was born July 31. 1897, in Detroit, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clack. He served a number of years as custodian of the public schools here but resigned due to ill health. When a young man he became a member of the Sister Grove Baptist church.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Molly Clack; four brothers, Roy Clack of Van Alstyne, Les Clack of Dallas, John Clack of Bakersfield, Calif., and Delbert Clack of the army in Puerto Rico; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Johnson of Sherman and Mrs. H. R. Williams of Denison.
