Beverly Kay Owens (64), of Tom Bean, Texas, was born September 24th, 1958, and passed peacefully in her home on October 31st, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Charles Owens, who she married on December 20th, 1997. She is also survived by her parents, William and Deanie Loftice of Howe, TX; sisters Debbie Reilly and her husband Steve of Lavon, TX; and Julie Potts and her husband Lee of Huntsville, AL. Beverly doted over her nephews and nieces, including Chris Reilly with his wife Nicole and son Gareth, Ryan Reilly with his wife Jill and daughter Samantha, Elizabeth Daniel with her husband James and sons William and Carter, and Chance Potts.
She was a faithful follower of Jesus and a devoted member of Kentucky town Baptist Church. She loved her family, her animals, and her flowers. It can well and truly be said of her, "She has fought the good fight, she has finished the race, she kept the faith." 2 Tim 4:7

Services will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel, with Bob Dean, officiating. Burial will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Reilly, Chris Reilly, Ryan Reilly, Lee Potts, Chance Potts and Mark Bickenbach. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
