September 11, 2008 Van Alstyne - Service for Sharon Renee Murphy, 47, of Van Alstyne died Thursday, September 4, 2008, at her home. Services were held Saturday morning at Morning Chapel CME. Officiating were Rev. Michael Mathis, pastor, and Rev. Ouida Lee. Burial followed at Van Alstyne Cemetery in Van Alstyne. Surviving are her mother, Jeannette Murphy of Van Alstyne; daughter, Gabrielle Scurlock of Van Alstyne; brothers, Robert Rhyne of San Antonio; Rob Murphy, David Murphy and Kevin Murphy, all of Van Alstyne; and Gary Murphy of Dallas; sisters, Donna Murphy of Van Alstyne and Monica Murphy-Culpepper of Garland; and 3 grandchildren.
