Peggy Ann Bowman Fincher, 81 of Chandler, Texas went to be with the Lord January 1, 2022. Born February 14, 1941 in Tom Bean, Texas to Benjamin Harrison Bowman and Margaret Marie Ellen Johnson Bowman Brown.
After graduating from nursing school, she worked the majority of her career at Dallas County Health Department. Where she excelled and had an outstanding career until she retired.
A longtime member of Lakeside Church she really relished her position as greeter and enjoyed her Sunday school class very much.
Her biggest asset was her love of family. She had such a vivacious personality and loved people, it didn't matter if you were a doctor or doorman, she treated you the same. You would be greeted with a smile and hug. Everyone that came in contact with her was important to her and she would make a point to let you know.
She leaves behind two sons: David Fincher of Canton Tx, Dean Fincher and his wife Patty of Kilgore Tx. Two daughters; Annette Fincher of Chandler Tx, Elaine Elam and her husband Jeff of New Boston Tx. Ten grandchildren sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. One brother Ben Bowman of Chandler Tx and one sister Joyce Erickson.
Proceeded in death by her parents as well as her sisters, Janice Powell, Wanda Buck, Barbara Crawford, her daughter in law Evelyn Fincher and her great grandson Sean Perdue Jr.
Services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Wayne Walters, officiating. Burial will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, at the funeral home.
