Joseph (Joe) Franklin Humphrey of Van Alstyne, Tx passed away at home on December 17, 2020 at the age of 78. Joe was born August 5, 1942 to Louis and Irene Humphrey in Dayton, Ohio.
Mr. Humphrey worked for 20 years for McCall Magazine in Dayton, Ohio, later retiring from Quebecor Printing in 1998 as a bindery supervisor. After retiring, he worked part time on a sheep farm for his friends. Mr. Humphrey was a member of Kings Trail Cowboy Church in Whitewright, Texas. He enjoyed country music dancing with his wife Linda and hanging out with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Humphrey married Linda Sandifer on March 13, 1965. It was a loving marriage that lasted for 55 years until his death.
Mr. Humphrey is survived by his loving wife Linda Sandifer Humphrey; a daughter Julie Jennings and her husband, John from Van Alstyne. Three sons and their wives; Jeff and Lilly Humphrey, Deland, Florida; Joel and Lori Humphrey, Winter Garden, Florida; Jason and Tanya Humphrey, Bullard, Texas. Two Sisters, Betty James, Trotwood, Ohio; Sonda Dyke, New Lebanon, Ohio. Sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Steve Humphrey.
