Van Alstyne - Services for Frank E.L. Avent, 82-year-old retired Western Auto store owner of Van Alstyne, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Flesher Funeral Home.  He died Monday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital.
The Rev. Mark More, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Van Alstyne, will officiate.  Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr. Avent was born in Melrose, N.M., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Avent.  He married Rudell Burkett Dec. 25, 1936.
He formerly owned the Van Alstyne .......member of the Van Alstyne Masonic Lodge, and the First United Methodist Church where he had served on the administrative council.
Surviving are his wife; son, Lowell Avent of Roclwall; daughters, Dr. Jan Roberts of Milpitas, Calif., and Rowena Lee Ward of Denison; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times at the residence, 1010 S. Waco.
Memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County or the First United Methodist Church.
