Van Alstyne, Texas -- Adolph Revel Wiggins, 93, of Van Alstyne passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Texoma Health Care Center in Sherman, Texas. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28 with services following at 2:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, Texas with the Reverends Jimmy Tarrant and Mike Lovely officiating. Burial will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery.

Mr. Wiggins was born on March 1, 1924 in Cannon, Texas, son of Marvin L. Wiggins and Viola M. (Nelson) Wiggins. On May 24, 1947, he married the love of his life, Doryce Parker in Sherman, Texas. They were very happily married until Doryce passed away and was buried on their 58th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Wiggins served in the Army-Air Force during World War II in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He received decorations and citations including the EAME Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, and World War II Victory Medal. He was employed at General Dynamics in Ft. Worth, TX and retired after 35 years.
Surviving Mr. Wiggins are sons Bill Wiggins and his wife JoAnn of Van Alstyne, Phil Wiggins and his wife Terri of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren Brenda Lanier and her husband Tommy, Ginger Penn and her husband Zack, Leigh Ann Rutherford and her husband Tom, Brian Wiggins and his wife Brooke, Tim Wiggins; and seven great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory 637 W. Van Alstyne Pkwy, Van Alstyne, TX 75495.
