Pottsboro, Texas -- Marquetta Ann Spisak-Masson, 55, of Pottsboro, Texas passed away December 10, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Marquetta was born in Sherman, Texas on August 15, 1960.  She was
a very loving mother, grandmother and wife.  She had 2 sons that she loved tremendously.  She had a huge heart and would do anything that she could to help a fellow human being. 


For 21 years, Marquetta was involved in the annual “For the Kids” Toy Run to benefit the Salvation Army of Grayson County and was a member of the “For the Kids” Committee the past several years.  This was her passion.  Her life was dedicated to helping those in need.  She made a huge impact on the community.  Marquetta touched so many lives and she is loved and will be missed by many.

Marquetta Ann Spisak-Masson is survived by her husband, Stan Masson of Pottsboro;  son, Stephen Spisak and wife Shay  of Allen; son, James Masson of Sherman; parents, Ron and Joquetta McLaney of Denison;  grandmother, Martha Downey of Sherman;  brother, Joe McCurdy of Pottsboro; 4 grandchildren--Bailey Masson, Kinsleigh Masson, Trevor Yeo, and Devin Yeo; along with a very large extended family.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Don Wildish will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers please donate to the GoFundMe account set up in her name to help the family with funeral costs.  The family would also like to thank all the nurses and personnel at DaVita Dialysis Center that cared for her many times a week for so many years.  Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, 637 W.
