MRS. L. G (s/b J) MARR, GRAYSON COUNTY PIONEER, IS DEAD.

Sherman, Texas, August 20, [1924] - Mrs. L. G.(s/b J.) Marr, 79 years old, mother of Mrs. James Shipton and Mrs. Alice Wolfe of Sherman, died at a local sanitarium at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning. The deceased was born in Virginia, but located near Van Alstyne, [Texas].

Burial will take place at Van Alstyne at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning, following funeral service, conducted from the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Shipton, at 9 o'clock. Dr. T. A. Warton, pastor of First Presbyterian church, will be in charge of the services. Besides her two daughters here, Mrs. Marr is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Z. George Tilley of Blue Ridge, and two sons, John Williams of Farmersville, and Leslie Marr of Fort Worth.
