Charles Yovic
Charles Joseph Yovic was born November 20, 1920 in Youngstown, Ohio.  He passed away February 9, 1998 at home on Sister Grove Farm at Van Alstyne, Texas
Charles served in the U.S. Navy in the submarine service aboard the U.S.S. Swordfish (SS-139) in the Pacific Theatre during WWII.
After his graduation from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Charles lived in Chicago, Illinois.  In 1960 he moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada where he owned an international valve manufacturing firm.  IN 1979 he moved to Tampa, Florida where he was involved in real estate.
He is preceded in death by his son, James.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Carolyn; his daughter Susie and son-in-law Ted Hoeller of Van Alstyne, his son William, daughter-in-law Pam and grandchildren Bobby and Sydney Yovic of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois; his sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Bob Soman of Canfield, Ohio; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Joan Yardley of Chicago, Illinois and his nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 12, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church,
206 S. Waco, Van Alstyne, Texas; Reverend Steve Dobbins officiating.
