Mrs. Lula Wattley was born January 19, 1896, the daughter of John and Elsie Andrews in Van Alstyne, Texas.
She grew up, attended school and early in life became a member of Morning Chapel C.M.E. Church.
In 1947, she married Tom Wattley of McKinney, Texas.
She was a member of Savannah Court #99, Heroines of Jericho, Van Alstyne, Texas.
Tuesday morning, August 17, 1971, she departed this life.
Survivors include one brother: Claude Andrews, Van Alstyne, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Lurie Hunter,
Waco, Texas; one niece, Mrs. Rozelia Williams, Waco, Texas; one nephew, Victor J. Andrews, Van Alstyne; several great-nieces, nephews and other relatives.
