Mrs. Fannie Skipworth

Services for Mrs. Fannie Belle Skipworth, 99, who died in a Sherman hospital at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church. She had 163 direct descendants.
Rev. David Griffin and Rev. Tom Pesnell officiated. Burial was in Van Alstyne Cemetery under direction of Earnheart Funeral Home of Whitewright.
Mrs. Skipworth was born Jan. 1879 in Burksville, Ky. She was a member of the Tom Bean Baptist Church.
Survivors include nine sons, Cliff of Sacramento, Calif., Ed of Van Alstyne, Bill of Bells, Hoyt of Pilot Grove, Doyle of Sanger, Tom of Whitewright and Jack, Weldon and Leslie of Tom Bean; one daughter, Mrs. Mearl Morrow of Raymondville; 42 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
