VAN ALSTYNE - Jack Jay, age 52, left us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2006. Although he was a resident of Van Alstyne, Texas, Jack loved his East Texas home. Jack had a passion to sing and turned it into a business. He made a lot of wonderful friends. His other passion was his family. He was a wonderful husband and father. He doted on his grandchildren. He will be missed by many, loved by all.
Jack was born on May 3, 1954 in McKinney, Texas to Rayborn and Patsy Jay. He married Betty Haney on July 18, 1973. He is survived by son, John Paul and wife Mandy of McKinney, daughter, Tiffany and husband, Clay Johnson of Blue Ridge, and grandchildren, Kyler, Bailey, Sydney, Logan, Rylee and D. D.
Jack is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty; parents, Rayborn and Patsy Jay of Denison, Texas and grandmother, Rose Jay of Van Alstyne; sister, Janet Fuller of Weatherford, Texas, brothers, Jimmy Jay of Mesquite, Texas and Jeffrey Jay of Van Alstyne.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 26 from 7-8 p.m. at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, Texas. Services will be held Monday, November 27 at 11 a.m. at the Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne with burial at Van Alstyne Cemetery. The family will be at the residence at all other times.
