Van Alstyne - Services for Donald Ashford, 47-year-old Van Alstyne mechanic who died Monday at his home, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr. Ashford was born in Texas, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Ashford, and married Mary Harwell on Feb. 28, 1972, in Durant, Okla.  He was a member of the Elmont Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Mrs. Noreen Smart of Sherman, Mrs. Toni Atkins and Stacie Ashford, both of Van Alstyne; son, Terry Ashford of Van Alstyne; mother, Birdie Neill of Van Alstyne; sister, Patricia Elliott of Sherman; and brother, Johnny Ashford of Van Alstyne.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday
